Frosted Chocolate Balls

Shopping list:

2 packets of tea biscuits (about 175g each)
2 eggs
1 packet of butter (113.4g)
1 cup ground walnuts
1 cup powder sugar
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1/4 cup sugar for decoration

How it's made...:

Frosted Chocolate Balls are an excellent dessert for any Thanksgiving or Christmas table.
I hope you enjoy this recipe from my grandma!
Grind all the biscuits into a bowl. Scramble the eggs well into a separate medium bowl. Combine all the ingredients together except for the 1/4 cup of sugar. You can microwave the butter to soften it, but do not let it turn into liquid. Knead everything with your hands until it is well mixed and starts sticking together into one big dough-like ball.
Form small chunks of the dough into 1 inch large balls. Roll each ball into the sugar until it’s completely covered with it. Then remove the ball into a serving plate or a storing container. Continue to do that until all the dough is shaped into balls. One batch makes approximately 50-60 balls, depending on the size you make them.
Keep the Chocolate Balls refrigerated because they contain raw eggs. They can stay out for awhile while serving, but then need to be returned to the fridge.
The whole dessert takes less than an hour to make if you have an electric grinder for the biscuits.
Options: You can roll the balls in coconut shavings instead of sugar, but you may have to press the shavings into the ball because they don’t stick as well.
If you feel more ambitious, you can add compote sour cherries into the center of each ball. Most likely then the balls will be larger and harder to make.
